It's nice to see a place to talk about BAM!

Occasionally I've seen conversations transgress into forays about BAM, but don't let that stop you from talking about anything. The denizens of this cave seem to have a cornicopia of topics they choose from, sometimes even coming up with new topics (or topics about nothing at all). :)

hey, The Sea And Cake.

your name brings up a good topic. anyone here into that group? Or check out Sam Prekop's solo album? That's on heavy rotation for me. Sea/Cake is unexplored territory for me tho - but a few close musician friends grew up on them. any jump-off spots to recommend?

Heh, that is the Gmork from the Neverending Story, a minion of The Nothing... (the creature has a bigger role in the book)
a further the example of our wanderings into topics about everything and Nothing at the same time.

I never read the actual book... is it much better than the movie??

( <--- me pushing this topic further away from the original topic...)

Incidently... has anyone heard anything about a release from high sierra?? or tapers from any of the CA run??? Just curious... We'll just put this one up there with "when's NYE coming out?", Huh Clinton?

avoiding NYE question for lack of good answer...

I have tracked down tapers of almost all CA goings ons... I'm waiting for confirmation but it sounds like the guy who got SMMD crashed a drive and lost all his HSMF recordings. Hopefully that is not the case. I found the San Fran show taper and eventually will get it from him. The Brad solo show seems to also be lost to computer crashes. I have found someone with at least one Slip set from HSMF and another person with the late night set. I can't figure out if that claypool/slip thing was 2 different sets or what? I thought they were gonna play together but it seems as if The Slip opened for Claypool late night. Not too sure. I think it wouldn't be untill at least August that they make it to me.

there you go...

Yeah they merely opened for the Les. It was a short set with no breaks. I checked out some of Les, it seemed a little repetitive to me but many people grooving nonetheless.
