I won't be afraid to say what I need to say

(I just posted this on the graffiti page)
Some input on this would be very helpful....go at it!
I'm supposedly moving out to the MA/RI area. There are a few glitches though, so I don't know I may just have to move to Portland, OR or back up to Northern Cali once again. It all depends on how much love and support I get from the people on the east coast. I've been trying to get over to the east coast for sometime now, I finally have a window to do so but I don't know if you east coasters will welcome me with open arms or with snide remarks and bad vibes. So speak up, speak up people....please.

I think I speak for the whole east coast when I say...
"Whatevah floats yah boat!"
I would hope that there is more to your decision making than what some internet people think. I love New England, but I bet I'd love the west coast too. I would take the input you get from here and on graffiti as the smallest factor in your decision making.

True Cleantone, thanks for the input but , you don't understand... I have lived on the west coast, up and down it actually many many years now and I know what it's like. I've been looking forward to experiencing the east coast living for awhile something NEW and I'd love to just get up and go. The thing is though, that if I do this means I will be going to slip shows more often and I don't want to deal with lil' pretentious punks, that's kind of one of the reasons why I'm leaving so-cal. Not to say that any of you are pretentious punks because they exist everywhere. I guess I'd like to know if I would be welcomed by you all living there and also the slip friends and family, because if not I'd rather just stop now and weep it up and continue on. Now do you understand?

Well.. I'll tell you this robyn... there are assholes everywhere... in every kind of garden variety... but what Clinton said is basically right on the money...
Me personally though... Who gives a fuck what people are like at the shows.. I'm sure you're going to find some pretentious assholes there... it's a given... more often than not... it would be me
... but at the same time.. your gonna meet some cool people, I know I've met my share... The only thing I've heard that I would warn you is that the east coast scene supposedly (and I only say supposedly, cause I've never known anything other than the east coast) is a lot harder/wookie ridden/ghetto crowd than the mellower flower children scene out west... that's just what I've heard...
But, I'd say this, if you want to do it, do it now, cause you're only young once and if you don't like it, you can always head back west....but if you don't explore, you'll never find anything new...
rambling I know.. but i hope this helps...

Thanks Pat. You're right about all of it. Trust me, I bet there are way more pretentious money hungry punks here on the west coast...ya know, California likes to partay....show me the money kind of energy. I know there are people who submit to that behavior all over the world. I'm a pretty smart cookie, the point of this whole thing is the fact that I love the slip! I love the people I've been talking to that love the slip and I just want to make sure that I will have some *real loving energy* out there in the cold instead of this money money and are you a vegan-model kind of energy that has overtaken this beautiful southern cali home of mine. I can say one thing, you and Pam seem like really cool people and the guys I met out there seem much more forward and upfront than these guys pussin' around out here......ex: afraid to come up and say hi when they see somethin' they likes. Man, in PA there were so many cute, sweet guys and gals who were so open to meeting new people, I like that. I guess now it's up to me taking the plunge. Thanks for reflecting on this topic with me Pat and Clinton.

believe me... that happens here too... but it's all good... Let me just say this.. there are good people on the east coast.. it just all depends on who you hang with.. ya know... anyway.. best of luck with your decision.. and you know if you're ever swinging through Pittsburgh you gotta place to crash...
