I'm starting to get a little frustrated with the animated avatars people are putting up. What with Pat's masturbating monkey (I know, he's pointing, and yes I've read Freud), and the new dude-in-the-box-flailing-wildly, I'm having a hard time concentrating on the content of people's posts.

Is there some way I can make avatars not appear when I use the site?

Does anyone else think it's reasonable to not post distracting (moving) pictures as avatars?

you can always turn off images on your internet browser.

Being able to turn off avatars and images is probably something that could be looked into as a personal viewing option. I don't usually find any of them distracting myself, but I know whenever I go to visit my parents and try and check websites on their slow dial-up conncection it can get frustrating waiting for all of the images to come up. Although if you chose not to view images there would be some pretty empty posts...

It's not that I'm trying to concentrate on Pat's posts. It's that they're fucking everywhere! You can hardly swing a cat in here without running into a Pstehley diatribe on something.
