phrazz whats up with this error message. poped up as i was trying to preview and submit a posting. kept getting the same message for about 5 mins.

Could not connect to the database

Hey Phrazz...and all...

I would love to give a hand designing some graphics and such!!!
I don't know how the bunch feels, but I would like to see the color scheme from the old board incorperated. Makes me feel at home. I am not good with code, but if you take a look at the slipserver page you can see I got the basics covered. All of the grphics and pics are my work, execpt for the left hand menu bar....Still working on the anitmated GIF for my avatar...

I have the impression this baby can allow multiple styles so
the user can decide. That way you're not stuffed into a bright
red box, or this generic-looking thingy. I haven't had much
time to break out the manual.

The /var/tmp errors seem to come and go. I have a suspicion
this is a system resource that's not properly allocated, so when
the server runs out of sockets, this sporadically pops up. It's on
a pretty cheap ISP (I'm paying for it), so service is limited, but I
will put in another ticket and maybe in a few days get an answer.

As far as design goes, some stuff can be hacked out here in HTML
or BBCode (square brackets instead), but I can also setup ways to
publish to other areas (like not under /bboard), just have to think
about the structure a little. There's already /audio/ and /Videos/,
so we don't want to collide with those (ie use other names). I was
thinking making /username so sliplive.com/JefffromNC could be
your own home page, not sure if tying this in with the bboard
makes sense or we just publish via FTP (old-fashioned way).

I will also clone SlipBase here to have a backup and start building
a real database for it, but this a very long term project and there
are other priorities. Any code you do, for now just send me the
URL (or post it here) and I'll copy to some other dir. for now, until
I have time to setup more accounts (FTP, etc). I think mail is also
possible, in time.
