old posts

I was just looking through some of the pages on the board and noticed the General Conversation Page goes back 5 pages, and seems to be limited at that. But while regular posts are gone, it seems to keep all of the old polls, which is a little strange (or maybe it's just our collection of polls back there that's a little strange... it's good to know we'll always be able to re-visit the poll about Brad's facial hair  ). Letting old posts fall off the back pages is probably a good thing because it'll save space, but sometimes it's nice to be able to go back find something from a while ago, like a post with a useful link or something.

So I was just wondering if there's a way to keep certain posts archived in the backpages so we don't lose them (other then pinning them to the top of the first page)? Just something to think about...

yeah, I just think it's funny what stays and what goes if you leave it up to an automated process.

I realised those polls are still there because when you make one there's an option of how many days to leave it 'open' and if you don't specify it leaves the poll open and on the board indefinately.
