What are you all doing?
I wish I could be
here , but I'm way too broke for that.
I'll be hitting up one of MMJ's shows at the Fillmore, and hopefully just having fun with friends on NYE.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to swing it either, so I'll probably just go see some of my friends play some nasty ass funk...

I was gonna post about this last night. I think I'm gonna try Soulive, Sammy K Band, Moe or Mule (28-30) to lead up to it.

I'm probably going to the Drive By Truckers in Atlanta. they're taking next year off, and they're always good for a whiskey slurpin good time.
if not there, maybe sts9, dubconscious or just hangin with friends at a house party, but it all depends on what everyone else wants to do.

My girlfriend & I are going to try to leverage some of our frequent flyer companion tix or some other free tix to get to NY for NYE. We might fail due to lack of funds or availability but the intent is to see The Slip. (I hope the (not so) Lovely Feathers aren't opening!) Wish us luck & maybe see ya there!

Plane tickets are so expensive with this little time left and we can't use any of our goodies because of blackout dates. I wonder if they will play three sets like in 2004 or just one as in '05. I would be somewhat bummed to fly across the country and just get one set.

That's good news, I hope NorthSix doesn't have a curfew... I hope Surprise Me Mr. Davis opens up these shows! That would put us over the edge..

does anyone have any idea about more details for the show, like how many sets? says meowskers and another band to be announced. showtime at nine, prolly means slip at like 11. so maybe just one set like last year? do we know if the venue has a curfew at all?

This curfew in NYC is four. Never been to NorthSix but, they'll definenitly have time for 2 set. At very least one very long one a la 12/30/05 @ Southpaw.
