that's a weird comment from Jambands.com since the set on Sunday morning was:
Before You Were Born
Broke The Promise Land
Ooh Belle
Poor Boy
Soft Machine
The Saturday electric set was:
Proud>
Even Rats
AirPlane/Primative
Life In disguise
Moderate Threat>
Cowboy Up
If One of Us Should Fall>
Children Of December
Heartbreaker

Jambands ain't Jambase
Jambands writers are somewhat confused -- though maybe they were up for 5 days straight (next time, rest first, write later). Looking at the craziness that occurred, this explanation may be accurate.
Thanks for the sets, Mr. M. You went? I had to cancel at the last minute (bummer, but I had a great time regardless).

Jambands staff wrote:Highlights included the White Stripes set from Which Stage, which appeared to be the most widely attended from that stage over the course of the weekend, The Decemberists’ take on “The Weight,” featuring guest vocals from Mavis Staples as well as Bobby Bare Jr., the acoustic opening to Pete Yorn’s set which included a version of “Friend of the Devil,” the Slip’s acoustic performance from the Sonic Stage, which glanced to the past with a collection of pre-Eisenhower compositions and the RatDog set, which was comprised of two extended segued sections.
^^^taken from stereogum. they've got two shots of BAM up over in their bonnaroo coverage, as well as a slew of other great shots courtesy of JBJim James-endorsed indie jam-rockers The Slip tore up That Tent

stereogum actually gave them a nice nod with their "band to watch" blurb. the fretless diss came from one of their weirdo reader's post in that article's comments section. weird people posting asinine shit on the internet...whodathought???johnhk4 wrote:thats good.. if i recall, stereogum was not kind to the boys in the past.
some off handed remark about a fretless bass? what wierdos over there

Amen, hope it shows it's face thursday.drewry wrote:PROUD RETURNS!!
yep, I was there. Lots of fun times. Gillian Welch, BAM, Martin and Medeski, Flaming Lips, and Feist were my highlights. Proud > Even Rats was great. The Proud was much shorter than usual and the segue was really tight into Even Rats. I'd assume it's something they'll be doing more often. The electric set had a bunch of technical difficulties but they got worked out by If One of Us.
I love proud, hope it sticks around. Coulda used one at the Indy. High Sierra i hope...
