d'Elf started off with a nice set with mostly tunes off of Now I Understand

Mike Rivard - Bass
Dean Johnston - Drums
John Hall - Sax
Mr. Rourke - Turntables
Duke Levine - Guitar
Roger Miller - Keyboards

JFJO had a drummer that I had never seen before (Josh something). I'm not sure why Jason Smart was not there...I meant to ask, but I forgot.

Oklahoma Stomp (Duke Ellington)
In Your Own Sweet Way (Dave Brubeck)
Thelonious Monk cover
Old Love New Love (New tune by B. Haas..."a song about becoming a man...and evolution...a new prayer")
The Maestro (R. Mathis)
?
?
Fall (Wayne Shorter) ..thanks stephen
Santiago
Nibbles the Squirrel
?
?

3 of the 4 question marks may have been improvisations...i recognized the final tune but couldnt put a name to it.

It was a long night of sweet sweet music...they played from 7:30 - 11 with a short setbreak between bands. I kinda got stood up...so i went by myself but I sat with some nice people from Paris and had a wonderful time anyways. The music soothes the soul.

Jason will no longer be in JFJO. I'm not yet sure what he has moved on to. I wish I could have made this. My friend Bert recorded from onstage. I hear Josh is a sick drummer. You have to be to play with Brian and Reed!

The Wayne Shorter cover was "Fall" from the Nefertiti album he did under Miles Davis' name.
