setlist as I got it for the Burlington show:

Something for Rockets
Sunny's Song
Soba
Becky
Walking Running Viking
spacey jam -> Play Pause Stop
Echo Park
Scratchitti (with bluesy jam in the middle)
Welcome Red
new song
Hate Frame
9x9
----
Mephisto (with Mike Gordon on guitar)

Brad played guitar on all songs except for the first one and the last three of the main set. For the encore they all came back out, followed shortly by Mike. Joe and Marco both seemed surprise, and the fact that Mike played one of Brad's guitars instead of a bass seems to suggest that his appearance was unplanned to the Duo guys. Mephisto with two guitars was absolutely brilliant. Also, it was a pretty weird sight to see Brad and Mike Gordon playing right next to each other, with Mike using Brad's guitar no less. Have there been any Phish/Slip onstage interactions before? I feel like there must have been but I'm not sure.

The rest of the show was pretty cool. Brad mainly added yet another layer of sonic weirdness to the mix, although he added some nice licks to Sunny's Song that made it into a total rock monster. This show had a very similar setlist to when the Duo was up here last year (same first three songs in fact) but I felt like this one was much "spacier" if that makes sense. Scratchitti was a definite highlight to me. Started it off slow, ratcheted it up to its usual fast tempo, eased off somewhere midtempo, and then went into this wild blues part that came out of nowhere, and then ended up back to the usual Scratchitti.

Pictures will come soon.

I know Mike sat in with the Slip at a post-phish late night in 2003 I think. I blew it off at the time because the slip show was in San Fran and I wanted to get back home. Stupid decision...

I would love to hear some recordings of this stuff!

Well in 1999 The Slip played at one of Phish festivals in New York. I was in Florida but the set was kick ass. Oswego, or Camp Oswego it was called.

As stated Mike played in CA with them briefly. I think it was a cover and only one tune. There was a show a year ago at the Higher ground that at once point had Marco, Joe, Brad, Jamie Masefield, Mike Gordon, Jon Fishman and Mike Mavridoglou all on stage.

Yeah, they opened Oswego on the campground stage on Friday night of the festy, but no one from Phish guested with them. There were thousands in attendance, probably the biggest crowd I've ever seen at a Slip show. I remember Jessica and someone else from the Living Daylights guesting for the closer or encore of that show.

After Phish's last shoreline appearence Mike guested with the Slip for "Jumpin' Jack Flash" at a latenight show at a club in SF.

07/09/2003: Studio Z: San Francisco, CA
Set I: Wolof, Children of December, Get Me with Fuji*, Jumpin' Jack Flash%, All Blues, Tenfold, Love and Tears!
Encore: If One of Us Should Fall, What's So Funny about Peace, Love and Understanding@
Notes: * w/ Carlos Washington on sax. % w/Mike Gordon on bass.

Those vids make me a little seasick! Cool to see Gordo on Brad's Gibson though... Makes me wish I hadn't blown off the recent Duo shows at the Indy out here.

Thanks tone! Those videos made me want to hear some nice audio of the shows :)

Did the Marco, Joe, Brad thing evolve over the 3 nights? Anyone catch multiple?
