First off, let me preface this post with this: haters gonna hate, lovers gonna love. And I'm a lover. I told Brad at the end of the show that a lot of people are disappointed that they're not touring with the Slip as much if at all these days, but that after seeing this show I "get it" and understand why they're doing what they're doing. This was one of my favorite shows to witness. The Foundation Room was really nice, and there were surprisingly not many people there from what I expected (I called in and the person said that they had had a lot of inquiries about the show and expected it to be busy....not the case).

That being said, the set list went something like this (and others can chime in to where I'm missing parts)

Beggar
Devil's Harp
Give the Devil
Old Mythologies
Sarah Through the Wall
Can't Help But Cryin'
Ooh Belle
Cloud (dedicated to Dice-K )
encore
Let There Be Horses
Heart Shaped Box
England

and a couple of new tunes thrown in there.

I didn't ask him why they weren't touring as the Slip. Personally I feel like he gets that all of the time. I think some of it might have to do with the fact that he and Andrew live in Montreal and Marc doesn't. When I asked him about the new record, he says that it's a work in progress and it's going slow because they only get to work on it when Marc gets up to Montreal, which is about every 3 months.

What? I didn't know you were there. I meant to skip it but at 3:00PM I realized it needed to go. Grabbed some gear and hauled to HOB. I may make Bearsville too but I'm leaning towards not. It's a little far to be out that late. I don't want to get a room and I don't want to drive 3 hours starting at 12-1.

They played for close to 2 hours last night and before anyone asks I doubt the recording will circulate. It's up to them.

Were those your mics up front? I was really hoping someone was taping.

I was there with a friend. I was wearing jeans and a tan tee.
