Yah I'm bailing on the NYC show. But NYCtaper.com is scheduled to tape, so we know there will be 1 show circulating at least.

I'm going to the Met. But I have no taping gear, nor do I know anything about doing it

Alright.. CHANGE IN PLANS.... My wife and I are flying out for these shows..... we need to see the slip. Looking into flights and places to stay right now. Look forward to seeing some of y'all. God willing I will be recording both!

Nice, Harry! If you're flying out, I totally feel like a wimp for bailing on driving down. I'd been planning to drive down for Providence, but I have to stick around Burlington Friday, and I just don''t think I can do 9+ hours in the car in two days.

I have many fond memories of road trips to Slip shows with Paul & Fred, Cleantone, Chloe, Tasoula and others, but I think my days of 10-hour drives in 24 hours seem to be over. I suppose I do have a good excuse. Is it weird that not being up for a long drive for a show somehow makes me feel older than the thought of being someone's Mom? Ha.

I'm hoping a SMMD show gets added in Montreal. That's more my kind of travel these days.

Yeah High Sierra was amazing but we'd normally get at least 2 slip sets and probably a whole bunch of Davis so I'm certainly jonesing for that special sound. I'm afraid Brooklyn is gonna be a short show as it looks like it starts at 8 and then Questlove has bowl train with doors at 10:30. That leads me to guess The Slip has 2 hours or less... which would be fine but I hope things don't run too late and we just get a 1 hour set or something.

Right now talking to friends and looking into el-cheapo NYC hotels... Got a train ticket and hotel for Providence!!!

So who else is on board for these? I'm getting pretty excited!

Haven't bought my ticket yet, but I'm going to the Providence show Saturday.

I'm fairly new to the Board (see latest post - Brighton Music Hall), but I've always liked the band and I honestly never realized the following they had on the west coast b/c of HSMF. My GF (currently a SF resident, but soon moving to Cambridge, ma =) is a HSMF vet and she and her crew love these guys. Sadly she did HSMF again this year (sans the trio or SMMD, but you still got Nathan Moore > I did SUPERBALLIX!!!

Anyways (wow, I can space out while typing or talking) - Love to say hello to some ppl from the site at the PVD (Met) show.

Ffffffuuuuuuuuu, my friend backed out on the show on me. Looks like I'm riding solo.

Feel free to come and say hey, I will be one of the guys recording at least. Can't wait! Invite all your friends in reality and Facebook too, I'm sure if the guys got a half-decent turnout they would be more excited to play more often... One can hope! Anyway I am so psyched to be hearing the slip play soon regardless... There was a big hole in my year with no slip at hsmf so it will be good to get a fix...
