through "love aint enough" the set list mirrored brooklyn. i was hoping theyd mix it up more but it was still a really fun time. Brad played his new lunchbox guitar a bunch.

All in all, I was really impressed with the show. Of course we would have liked to see a little more variation in the set list, as always, but I think that all of the stuff I heard was really, really good last night. I don't know if it was just because it had been so long since I'd last seen them, but I heard and saw a lot of good things happening on stage last night. Some really great stuff from the guys last night, and I loved the Dogs on Bikes ending to Fuji.

they didnt say much in brooklyn, but wondering if they had mentioned anything about continuing to tour or for their new album to come out or what not? Overall for people that were at both shows, which one was better?

New tunes were marked on setlist as "Rev Blues" and "Banjo" respectively but Brad said they were still officially untitled. If I remember correctly he said that they were calling it Banjo temporarily that because Andrew wrote it on the banjo. The final tune from the party on Friday does have a name though, 7 seconds.

I was slightly disappointed that there were so many repeats from Brooklyn but I really didn't mind as it was just a fantastic show, great room, great crowd, great energy! The band was super tight and I thought the performance was even better than the bowl, which I just loved as well. Good to see some old friends and to be able to meet some folks in the flesh who I've known in the e-world.... I am totally digging the new tunes. They seem pretty committed to the new album. They had a great set of new buttons for merch which is a good sign. I would expect they will tour in support of the album (whenever it comes out...) I remember Brad said on Hippy Fiasco that they were trying to play as few Slip shows as possible until they got the album out... There was a fair amount of talk about the album at both Met and Brooklyn shows, Brad kind of apologizing but also saying good things come to those who wait & that they were really excited about it.

Yes I'd almost say that was a full (if extremely brief) version of Dogs on Bikes after Fuji. Also I heard some serious headshot teasing in this fuji as well!

I brought some friends who hadn't seen the Slip in years and one of them was like "wait, i know this tune, buts its different, right? this kicks ass." when they played the "new" arrangement of Solomon and my girlfriend was singin Nothing Compares 2U all day yesterday. I was really digging the new Reddish Moon arrangement and the Heartbreaker brought the house down as usual, i think that may have been the best Ive heard Brad play the famed solo. I like the addition of construction light on the mic stand for Marc too, the thing brad uses for Barr Bros shows. "Lunch pail" guitar gets an A+ in my book as well...Can't wait to hear the new album

While chatting during the stream on Thursday JBooth mentioned he was going to try to get them to play Dogs on Bikes in honor of Crichton (apparently his fave slip tune), so that may have been the inspiration.

Sounds like this show was hotter than Brooklyn. Can't wait to listen (also can't torrent at work) when I get home. Glad to hear BAM brought the heat for their hometown.

listening now, sounds pretty good Harry. the vocals are a little weird but that's how it was, too much reverb in my opinion.

So i may have made up the "If One of us should fall", its not on the recording. I think i must have wrote it down thinking they were going to play it but they were actually setting up Nothing Compares 2 U
