Hey, all! So, I made it to the San Diego and Hollywood shows and man it was truly a powerful experience for me. I have never seen The Barr Brothers and was really impressed! The only thing I couldn't understand is that there wasn't more people dancing. This music is soooo dancable it blows my mind! And the new logo with the lightning bolt and the harp just fit them purrrfectly!
So, the San Diego show was at a nice place called Anthology and it was taped! I don't remember the setlist but for playing in Diego for the first time ever; they were really taken in and embraced. The Hollywood show set was about an hour long but there was a more cozier comfier feeling to the crowd. I'm loving the new songs like kisses from chelsea and darkness. I also really, REALLY love the song about the penny on the railroad track (anyone know the name of this one??).
I know the San Diego show is allowed to be circulated except for the last three songs. From what I remember they played Beggar, Old Mythologies, Give the Devil Back His Heart, Devil's Harp (with a reagee twist!) , If You Leave, Cloud, Kisses From Chelsea, (the one about keeping my grave clean?) ....anyhow, I'm sorry this is all I can remember. I suck at setlists! But all in all it was a great experience and I am grateful they finally made it to Diego!
When the Diego show is circulated I will let y'all know! Hope you're all well and I should be seeing some of you @ The Slip NYE shows!! Woot, woot! ;}
