Lawrence, KS on May 7th was a fabulous evening as well. early show downtown at the Jazzhaus included a smoking rendition of a Monk tune, the title of which slips my mind. late show was on the patio of the Gaslight Tavern a few blocks away. the stage has a huge tree growing right through the middle; i think i can safely say everyone was vibin' off of it. Marco and Joe played most of the tunes off of the new record, a little Radiohead, a couple of newer ones. well worth the drive up from Omaha. my girl and i brought the Duo a little cactus from our visit to the Farmer's Market earlier that day before we drove out to Lawrence. hope it's doing okay in the van!
