Ween/Lips tour
I saw the Redrocks show, I of the best shows I've seen. I triple pressy helped, but what a combo. And The Rocks! (thats counting 40 dead shows) Awesome shit, the Lip are on ebtree, but you need the visual with them. The encored warpigs, with Rumfeld, Bush, and alittle Powell just flashing the screen. Fucking awesome.
What's a pressy?
*JK* Man, I still haven't hit Red Rocks. Was that a camp scene or just a day gig? Lips do that War Pigs thing a lot these days. That's about the best version of that *evah*. The Rolling Stone article is also a very good read (either the one with The Slip or very recently...could The Slip and The Lips really be in the same issue??? Now if they also had the Pils.... ).

There not any camping allowed at Redrocks. There is a private one down I-70 at too for called Chief Hosa, There is also a state park called Golden Gate Canyon that has a few campgrounds, but its usually someine has to keep it togther enough to get home!
The camping is what makes the Gorge sweet (except the $50) the charge yo per car. The Rocks is still my favorite!
And yes the Ween set was killer, I like that band so much more after seeing them live a couple time lately (Boulder Tht a few months back)
Moving to San Diego in a couple weeks, so maybe no REdrocks for awhile:(

I love Ween. Great band.
But while Red Rocks is a great venue to be in for the scenery, the sound is terrible. It gets caught up in the wind and flies right outta there.
I will say that the Primus show I saw there two summers ago might've been the most entertaining performance I've seen. Complete Frizzle Fry second set. \m/

If you get at least level the speakers you are all good! I love the Big Meadow Stage late/afternoon-sunset too. Thats my favorite stage at High Siera!
Although a venue change with the police, might just be a good idea! I heard that Bear Mtn site was great! Slips 1st year with that classic Honey Mellon!
