10th anniversary pretty soon! WOW. This one is probably one of Ian's fav's because he was there. The recording is good but not perfect. The mics are a little driven. Not enough that you can't listen by any means. It just does have some saturation here and there. The music is of course great, being The Slip in 1998 and all.

Thanks Cleantone! You DO indeed rock!
This show was what I call the "Boston all-stars show" You had Kras onguitar (Pre-Soulive), RadioActive (Pre-Spearhead) and Abdoul DOumbia and his troupe doing what they do, not to mention the monkey! The monkey was propped up on a stool, and well, Andrew tells it best.

We were all still floating from the amazing NYE party/show a few weeks earlier! Pie! Giant Hug!

Wow. Times sure have changed, I am old.

Any more '98 Slip is always MORE than welcome. This was a peak year, it was right before they had one of their first "creative shifts". Pre-Moral-Decay, Pre-Joe Higley, and Pre-Even Rats.

Crazy!

I always thought of that monkey as a Gorillla. My personal experience of recieving this beast, Thrown, Tossed, or Catapulted, through the front balcony DooRs of our 11 Alleghany St 2nd Floor Apartment by our neighbors, either Andrew or Brad, although I believe it was the latter, yet it does'nt matter, dwelled in my residence for many years until the time came for its revelance to no longer matter, and it somehow disappeared. Its location to this day is unknown.

I remember being front and center at this show, still have an original J.B. audiotape recording, yet this one just never placed on my pedestal.
However, have not listened to this one in awhile.

Probably the first show I ever got on CD. No more tape hiss - yay! Only nebulus I've ever heard and man they DESTROYED macarena. classic.

Damn, that's a nice From the Gecko...it's amazing how many good and varying stylistic periods one band can have, and yet consistently sound like The Slip.

Thanks so much! Any way you could re-post "Radioactive Rap" (d2 track 4) - it's the only track that's not available right now.

Thanks!

whoops. There is two links when you upload a file, one to download and one to delete. I linked the wrong one and someone deleted it.
