8/21/04 Tweeter Center (48khz NOT for CDR) torrent

Post: # 20020Post harrymcq »

Someone over at TTD was asking for the Allman Brothers opening sets from '04. I have 8/21 (thanks t-Man) but my Children of December FLAC is corrupted. Can anyone help me with this? Full show would be fine since the lineage on mine is a little questionable. Also would be interested in 8/20 if anyone has that....

crummy performance, nerves kicked in i guess because it was an important performance
weight of solomon sung in low register - monotone, doesn't sound so great in my books

I thought it was rather good. The low register on Solomon was a little weird but overall I though they did a great job playing to probably a less than half-full shed.

I went to that show. still have the:
Los Lonely Boys will NOT be appearing tonight. "The Slip" will be opening
flyer that they posted outside of the Tweeter Center. Lots of people grumbling about no Los Lonely Boys.

I encouraged every Allman Brothers fan I knew to get there early because the fill-in opening band that no one had heard of was actually absolutely fantastic. Then it rained for the entire Slip set and no one bothered to go in until it cleared up and Allman Bros. came on.

I thought it was a really good (though understandably short) set. I remember a very tight Fuji, CoD, and I enjoyed the Weight of Solomon with a Sesame St. tease (if i remember correctly).

The small crowd was a disappointment
