yeah... I've heard the new song.. I have like 2 shows from the 2004 tour... my buddy matt got to see them, I was uuber jealous. Course, he also got to see Frank Black and the Catholics...
all i got to see was the slip...
I'll never forget creekside 2002 when they busted out "Wave of Mutilation:UK pop version", which is just beautiful (see Pump up the volume soundtrack, if you've never heard it)
next to cream the shows, yet another reason I wish I could take a trip to the UK with a lot of $$$$...

This one got me "excited" in 2005! Last night to be exact. I'm not sure if it's out or coming out. I can't find info online about it either. It's an acoustic guitar compilation called "Imaginational Anthem" on Near Mint Records (who I think is under Sony). It has music from 1963-2005 on it, all acoustic instrumental guitar works. Brad has track #2 of 16. Other artists include but are not limited to Max Ochs, John Fahey, Kaki King and more I've never heard of but probably should have. Maybe I'll post more pics another time but this is the inlay section for Brads piece with the credits superimposed over another artists information. Don't ask me how to get it. I have NO CLUE! Can't even log onto the record company's website.
so, the mars volta album came out tuesday. my brother (nicer hardcore/indie version of me) called me, left me a voice mail, saying stop listening to all that jam band shit and buy this, now!
he compared it in a way to 'wish you were here'
uh-oh, could it?

I am giving it my first listen right now, and I've gotta say, it's pretty epic.
The sound effects get on my nerves and at times I wish it was pure instrumentation, but that might be just a matter of personal preference. I can see the Wish You Were Here thing, as well as some Zeppelin-esque breakdowns. The Mars Volta is pretty much the shit.
