Opened for Timber Timbre and The Low Anthem

Beggar in the Morning
Ooh Belle
Old Mythologies
Give The Devil Back His Heart
Cloud

About 30 mins... Good set. I pulled a chatty audience. A SBD was recorded which I should be getting. Long story as to why it turned out that way... Anyway I'll get the AUD up ASAP. Brad is happy for it to be circulated and hopefully I'll get the SBD soon... I wasn't that into Timber Timbre but The Low Anthem were great. I wish the Barr Brothers had played longer, there was a huge setbreak between Timber Timbre and Low Anthem and the Low Anthem was over early...

Also... bought the new Barr Brothers CD! Tracklisting is as follows:

Beggar in the Morning
Ooh, Belle
Old Mythologies
Give The Devil Back His Heart
Cloud (for Lhasa)
The Devil's Harp
Lord, I Just Can't Keep From Cryin'
Deacon's Son
Hold My Head
Let There Be Horses

So far I like it a lot. Very atmospheric & chill for the most part. It reminds me in mood at least of The Low Anthem at times, not surprisingly on Cloud with the 2 clarinet players from TLA. Nathan Moore also guests on vocals on a track. I'm not sure when it will be for sale to the public. They had some for sale at the show, I'm sure they will have them the next couple of nights as well. It is a nicely done little sleeve with some notes and thanks on the inside and a trippy medieval siege-engine drawing with flying angels. Kind of Hieronymous Boschesque.

was looking for you - too bad I couldn't find you. I thought the barr bros set was really nice, and hope we get the chance to hear a more extended set in the future. Thought that Timber Timbre was pretty interesting - very patient music that *slowly* built to some cool peaks. Low Anthem was great...but had to head to BART to catch the last train home right as their set started to pick up some steam.
