Great set! Sound was a little rough but kudos to Sebastian (FOH) for dealing with notoriously crappy Du Nord system... Super chatty San Fran crowd too Weight of Solomon was a bit rough. However the rest of the show was fantastic. Yellow Medicine was very nicely done and had a cool African sounding intro. I think that was the first time it had been played since 2004? Headshot > Meowskers was also nice to hear, perhaps in honor of Meowskers who was in attendance. Can't wait for tomorrow!
I thought this was an incredible show. Medicine was fun to hear and was executed brilliantly. The vocal section (the "woa"'s) was replaced by a new (to me) section that seemed to reference another Slip tune I couldn't place. Wolfmother is a monster, they attacked that one. Milena also had Andrew on banjo (and Marc on guitar) and was mesmerizing. Seemed like they had the room riveted.
blah, blah, blah - band seemed very engaged and energetic and this show was a treat from start to end I feel extremely fortunate to have been in attendance.
