From original notes:
A magical evening with The Slip playing their first acoustic performance since 1997 and I think only their second one ever. This is a collection of all the songs that did not make it on the Aliveacoustic release. This is merely the audience mics. The album was mixed in a studio from the multitrack recordings I made that night. So if your hearing this and you do not yet own Aliveacoustic, do not pass go, do not collect $200, and do go to The Slip's website to order the epic acoustic live album. Bear in mind these are the tracks that did NOT make the album. The ones that did are truly on another level. That is saying a whole lot since this out-take collection is amazing in it's own right.
There is some mild wind from the ceiling fan but I think it's pretty easy to get over.

Notes:
Taped off Grizzly Radio, not sure if it is FM or Pre-FM.
You can hear a separate audio source appear in the mix (a band other than The Slip) during the middle of Wolof. It is quite loud between Wolof and Back in 15 Minutes but gets turned down just as the song starts though it can still be heard much more faintly throughout the end of the show. It sounds like someone at Grizzly Radio turned a fader up by mistake and then turned it down but not quite enough.

The recording had some phase issues which caused the right channel to be very quiet, I delayed the left channel by approx. 7 ms after much experimentation.

Original Notes:
I was outside in the merch tent staying dry when someone came to me and said The Slip were playing in the Upper Lodge. So in the rain I went down got my gear and ran it up to tape the set. They had already played a song before I had the gear set up. So the show starts off in the middle of the second song. There was no PA the recoding is just the bands amps. During the section where they were answering questions my deck stopped so the tape is missing some of the questions. When I started the recording again it was a little bassier. All in all its a good show to have. For Marco and Slip fans Enjoy!!!

Happy 4th Everyone! First time since 1998 that I haven't been at High Sierra... missing it because of the new baby, but strangely fortuitous that I won't be missing The Slip, Nathan, SMMD, Barr Brothers, Marco etc... I'm hoping for some big things next year.

For those of you who aren't out partying (or for when you get back) here are a couple of 1999 Berkfest treats! I just adore the 8/15 show...

Getting back into the groove with this, still have a bunch of DATs from Edmund!

8/7/99: http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=573948

LiveStock I
Tyrone Farm, Pomfret, CT

Source: AT825 (on-stage) > Tascam DAP-1
Transfer: Tascam DAP-1 > MOTU Ultralight > WAV (Normalized with Peak 6.2) > FLAC
Recorded by: Jason Booth
Transfer by Harry McQuillen from Edmund Edwards' DAT (clone of Jim Crichton's) 6/14

One Set

1. The Field, No Further (cuts in)
2. Co-Op City
3. Dogs on Bikes
4. Torque
5. Hey Worrier >
6. Cumulus intro (aborted)
7. Don't Foil the Mohel
8. drum circle (partial)

Notes: (from SlipBase, by Phrazz)
First festival at Tyrone Farm. Cumulus was changed to Foil when a lack of time was announced.
Big drum circle and open jam in the cottage after the main stage was shut down with Andrew and Bill Carbone on drums, Garrett Sayers and Zach Fleitz on bass, Brad and Geoff Scott on guitar, Jared Sayers on Saxophone, etc.

Notes:
Drum circle seems just to have drums, not necessarily the musicians listed in the notes above but the recording cuts in and out so it is probably only a small part of the post show jam.
