Last night was awsome. The opening band was really kick ass too. They were called The Heartless Bastards. They are a trio fronted by this chick with a real powerful voice. They were Kind of heavy, and reminded me of Deerhoof in a blender with The Yeah Yeah Yeah's. Check em out sometime.

Bam Killed It, and played several new songs. Here is what i wrote, but please forgive if some titles are incorrect. (hey im not perfect yet) hehe.

Soft Machine>
Even Rats
I Know (your gonna miss me someday)
? (possibly headshot)
Soft, Warm, Simple wonder
New song Maybe called Thunder Rose

Set 2
Paper Birds
Cut From The Cloth (huge)
New song called I hate Love
Another new song with Brad Ripping a Harmonica solo
Decembers Children...Brad gets on this dudes shoulders when he solo's, and throws the guys Yankees hat off of his head...funny shit.

Encore:
Reddish Moon
Poor Boy (huge with big Andrew solo)

Thanks "guest"!

no "soft, warm, simple, wonder" or "headshot", but I can't fill in the blanks either :)

You know i didnt see one taper, unless they were upstars on the balcony. ugh.

The song I "thought" was soft warm simple wonder has the opening words..

"something soft, something warm, something...." Im sure that helps alot. bwahahah.

and the one i "thought" was headshot...is the real funky instrumental that sounds a bit like fuji. THey play it alot, and i think its on LiveElectric. Damn that was a fun time.

Thank you so much for posting the setlist so soon. I'm pretty bummed that I was unable to make it up thata way it's been just shy over a year since I saw The Slip. So cloae yet so freakin far. Guess it wasn't in my cards. And having a roof over my head and foods are a tad bit more important than throwing it to the wind and coming up ;(

Sounds like a great show! Can't wait to hear about the rest of the tour. Heading down to the OB street fair today with lots of good music and peeps. Have a great weekend all and take care.

Gotta be the world-famous Tim Lanterman, sometime tour manager and noted Yanks fan.

Maura posted on the graffiti:
Here's a list of what they played, random order.

Soft Machine (opener)
Even Rats
new song ("for you sad bastards")
Suffocation Keep
Paper Birds
Get Me With Fuji
another new song
Reddish Moon
I Hate Love
December's Children
Poor Boy

I know i've forgotten something.
Sounds like it was Fuji.
