Do you Remember how this went? and how when i first heard it, i was like man they need to play this so much more! or wish they had. I never heard nathan moore do it.

Now everyone thinks that I hate Love is a new song. They complain about how they play it all the time. But man listen to NCFP honestly it shows where things come from. Listen to early shows, then you see the little seeds grow.

"I Hate Love" is by Nathan Moore and it on his Sad Songs Make Me Happy album. The Slip version is the same words just a new melody and harmonic structure.

Isn't he one of the guys in Surprise Me Mr. Davis? I think I saw him a couple of times. He really gets around.

Ummm...but what about the Chicken Pizza? You mean recently?

Yup those are Nathan's lyrics... but I think Dan's point was that lyrics aside, "I Hate Love" bears a pretty strong resemblence to the instrumental "Nasty Fucking Chicken Pizza" from way back when. Listening to 02/14/97 and can most definitely hear where that "new melody and harmonic structure" originated from (and I'm finding myself wanting to sing those lyrics that just weren't there yet.)

Last time I listened to this show was right after the last Mr. Davis tour, and I knew it sounded more familiar than an obscure tune they haven't played in years should...
