CD or tape trade thread part 2 (summertime edition)
01/05/06:
hey, sorry i'm a little late on this! i drew names today. here are the matchups:
macfly trades with pstehley
diesel trades with tim
magpie trades with sm
nw: your name was the last one i drew. since we have an uneven number of participants, i'll trade with both you and Pat (pstehley).
so let's get to it...swap addresses with your partner via PM and when we receive our mixes we can post the tracklists.
does that all sound ok with everyone?
summary/guidelines:
- by signing up for this thing, you truly intend on following through with making a tape or CD and mailing it to its recipient. it's generally a drag when these things get all mucked up by people who flake, knowwhatimean?
- seems like people who listen to the Slip are generally pretty open-minded and thus, listen to a wide variety of music. so be as diverse as you please within the mix that you construct, bearing in mind the importance of flow and track order.
- be creative with your mix -- it could have a theme, such as "music to drive late at night to" or "soundtrack to cooking dinner"; it could consist of songs that represent you as a person; or it could simply be a collection of music that you've been digging lately.

i'm totally down with letting Graffiti in on this, but logistically it's going to be easier to keep everything together on this one thread. i'd suggest posting a link to this thread on Graffiti and if people want to participate, they can post here.Pstehley wrote:wait.. I thought we were waiting till the 3rd... we ought to at least wait that long.. and do we want to propose this over at the graffitti board? Just curious...
two days left on this...is that enough time? we can extend it another week or so if need be. happy new year everyone...
Re: idea: mix CD or tape trade
i'll do a trade with NW if that's cool with everyone. to be honest, it wouldn't make much sense for diesel and i to do a trade cause i see that fool in "real life" several times a week and we already trade off a bunch of tunes on a regular basis as is...macfly wrote:nw: your name was the last one i drew. since we have an uneven number of participants, i'll trade with both you and Pat (pstehley).
