On the shots of the band from out beyond the audience, where the audience heads are silhouettes, are you not using a flash?

headnugg - thanks for the comment... but, no flashes allowed. Standard house rules at most of the bigger clubs like Higher Ground. A fast len$ is the trick. As for RAW format - picture it as a sound recording - RAW is like SHN or FLAC (uncompressed data), where as jpg is like MP3. So when I shoot in raw - everything the sensor sees gets passed along to the data file. When you shoot in jpg , or compressed, you toss out certain color data in order to reduce file size, image quality, etc..
