High Sierra Grids Up - 2 Slip Sets!!!!
http://www.jambase.com/festivals/highsierra/
The good news...
The Slip play twice:
Thursday @ the Vaudeville Tent from 11:45 PM - 1:30 AM
Saturday @ Big Meadow from 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM
Mr. Davis also plays twice:
Friday @ Big Meadow from 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM
Saturday Late Night @ High Sierra Music Hall opening for Keller Williams, Keith Mosely, Gibb Droll & Jeff Sipe - 11:45 PM - 1:00 AM
Nathan also plays twice
Thursday @ Vaudeville 7:55 - 9:10
Sunday @ The Shady Grove 3-4:15 (up prior to him on that stage are Big Light (torph's band), Izabella (sick guitarist), and Five Eyed Hand (friends of mine) so I know where I'll be Sunday afternoon after 3 days of solid partying.
Bad news is on Thursday The Slip is up against Bustle In Your Hedgerow!!! I know where I'll be but that still is a bummer.

may be a bummer, but not a hard choice at all...
After Big Light on Friday is the tahoe band Bourgeois Gypsies. I used to teach that girl guitar!
first time im missing in 3 years, bummer....

No, not a hard choice at all, just an unfortunate one. Built to Spill is also up against Emmit/Nershi Band which also sucks for me but I'm guessing there's a lot less overlap in fanbase between those two bands and Slip/Bustle.
Sorry to hear you'll be missing it bear! Come back next year...
Don't forget to vote above!

isn't Bustle In Your Hedgerow just a Zepellin cover band??
if people are having are hard time making that decision, they need to rethink some things.
i didn't know Built to Spill was even playing. that's awesome. i wonder if the Slip can get Doug to come sing and play Else with them.
that's gonna be a great festival. i'm extremely jealous.
edit: how did Papa Mali get the late set on Friday? they coulda done a lot better than that for a headliner.
second edit: nevermind, i guess he's not really headlining, since it's the vaudeville tent. still...

I should fucking go. Doesn't make sense for me though. To tell you the truth I think I would go see Bustle. I have never seen them and of course I have seen BAM play 150 times. Bustle needs to come to Pearl Street for me. I just bought a new tripod too! Liquid filled head Bogan rig. Looking forward to breaking it in soon. That was my weak link before.
Well you could also see Bustle the next day as well so it's not really as dire a situation as I made it out to be. It is just a wee bit frustrating when so many bands I really don't care at all about play but 2 that I really want to see happen at the same time. I sometimes wonder if High Sierra does that on purpose to promote the feeling of "OMG, there are two bands I NEED to see at the same time!" thus making you feel like there is always so much going on at High Sierra. (Note: I just adore high sierra so my griping is very good-natured.)
Clinton- You should TOTALLY go. I know it probably doesn't make any financial sense but it is so much fun... You'd be welcome to camp with us.
