Thrice you have rescued me from falling grace;
once when I was a beggar and you were the rain on my face,
once when I was crippled and you carried me,
and once when the blindness of others taught me how to see.
bear, I think that was the first time I ever saw The Slip!
it was around Noon, right? i remember John Brown's Body basically drove into town and walked on stage. they were lookin rough from a gig the night before.
i went to Berkfest one year and I definitely saw The Slip there, but I can't remember the year. If it was '01 or '02.
hey putty, i think it was a little later in the afternoon - i remember it conflicted with moe's set on the mainstage. Although I was celebrating 21st that weekend and I was in no shape to remember much from that weekend. It rained, the guys at the Red Hook tent were giving me free birthday beers all weekend and I saw the slip....I know that much. anyone know what Lemonade is? old jazz standard?

"bradm" is not Radish, as in B-Radish (unless there is another Brad nicknamed Radish I don't know about ...and about people we call Brad...oh, maybe later).
Berkfest '02...now that brings back memories! Only 6 years ago? How is that possible? Seems like a lifetime....
What was that I heard about a Berkfest resurrection? Was someone pulling my leg or misinformed? I heard a rumor they had one or were planning one. Did I miss out? Am I missing out? Will they ever pay everyone?
Berkfest 02 was an amazing time. I ate the best melon of my life on the hill of the main stage. Worked on a farm that summer, and filled a canvas bag with ripe ambrosia melon for the trip to great barrington. Still haven't tasted a melon that was quite that good - but I'll keep trying.
listening now and doesn't seem familiar. I like the intro. According to slipbase they only played it 10 or so times and I don't have and wasn't at any of the shows.
