They opened for the Slip at a Halloween show in... 2004? 5 in Northampton. They covered Elliott Smith and also did some great version of Sunny's Song.

10.30.2004, at the pearl street ballroom. I was at that show! A very drunk Meowskers sang in the encore of the Everybody Wants to Rule the World cover. Not sure if I ever saw a tape of the Duo opener, but thought I'd give this a bump.

I can't recall where I read or heard that....either just hearsay from friends or maybe it was jokingly in the show notes from the tapes. Said it in another thread, but if you need that show, let me know!
